Adjectives Becoming

”Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

It’s not just nouns that become other things. Adjectives become other things too. As in “become tall” or “became interesting.” The rules for adjectives are pretty standard – we’ve seen these patterns before, but here they are again as a reminder.

aおもしろくなる

na-adjectives

So let’s look at some adjective なる sentences. Then, you’ll try to make some of your own.

aたかくなる

a今日、きれい に なったね!

And, just as a reminder, here’s some nouns becoming other things.

So, can you tell us what you want to become now? What descriptors (adjectives) do you want to become?
